A proud day for those who bear the tag

Saturday was a very good day for Mythrilmoon Mystics, and long
beyond belief. The day started with a kill of Gorenaire, everyone's
favorite white dragon and scourge of every nature-theme-named Dreadlands
mid-40s quad-kiter traipsing about in wolf form without a care in
their head* (that means you, Littlepawwolfshadowthornheartfirestarmoonwindleaftreelovehappysunhammerflower),
which went well and yielded:
*Druids, I have nothing wrong with you or your names. It's a joke.
:P
Next up came Rhag 1 in Sssomething Temple. Congratulations to the
following people on the following drops:
Then it was a hop, skip, and jump over to Rhag 2, who was dispatched
quickly and easily (with only three deaths: two overzealous nukers
and one rogue *cough me cough* who didn't notice a curse killing
him until he was at about 20% health). Drops were very nice:
 |
After Rhag 2 (yes, we kept going!) we mobilized for Velketor's
Labyrinth. Sweeping through the zone killing random spiders
and clearing the uncamped kobold village in what had to be
record time, we breached the stronghold of the powerful wizard
himself. As we sat there getting set up and ready to kill
him, before anyone was prepared for the pull, someone had
a nasty little bout of the dreaded LAG and unexpectedly pulled
Velk and his two friends. Unphased MM entered Super Transformer
Mega Crusher Mode and wiped up Velk, suffering only one death
(/cheer Gembadar for taking one for the team...again...and
again...). He was kind enough to give up the following pieces:
|
"There's more!?" Oh yes. It was off to Plane of Disease,
where Aramin was up for the taking. He went down easily and yielded:
After Aramin, feeling pumped and ready for action, the guild set
their sights on Grummus. Got him to 80% before getting totally destroyed.
Whee!
Derakor the Vindicator was next up on the block - he wasn't up
(camped?) when we first went after him early in the morning, but
he showed his face after Aramin. So, we went and killed him. He
dropped:
To round out the day's heavy raid schedule, after a large number
of people had logged off (including most of the clerics), the guild
set up for Lcea Katta. On this fight, the second Lcea Katta fight
MM has had, there were around four groups. Clerics were of the two-boxed
variety, and the stakes were high. Gembadar took one for the team,
and then so did a whole bunch of other people, so clerics camped
and MM set up for the second attempt. After the fight tactics were
explained a little better MM was ready to make a second attempt.
Enchanters were truly on their game, keeping the tanks uncharmed
consistently, the clerics were getting the best of every little
shred of mana, and nukers ran to empty and more, but Lcea succumbed.
Not content with one day of raiding, a small raid force went to
work Sunday knocking out epic mobs left and right. Gratz to Nilten
on killing General V'Ghera and finishing your epic, Ragebringer.
Gratz whoever got the Fusible Coral Ore on the otherwise very disappointing
Phinigel Atropos raid (/rude THREE worthless chanter wands).
Gratz Isiiss on getting her CoM charm mob finished, leaving her
down to just two epic pieces. And pre-gratz to Ludaa, who will be
epic'ed this week.
