Mythrilmoon Mystics Guild Charter
Mythrillmoon Mystics was a guild founded on a legend that is the heart of our beliefs and has forged into a guild of strong friendships and partnerships that unite the world of Norrath. We take great pride in our accomplishments and relish in our adventures and overcome our defeats. Guildspeak is a fruitful language that all our members learn and is the foundation of our major means of communication. We are an adult guild, meaning that some things said in guildspeak may not be appropriate for children. Raid Loot is dictated by the guild officers appointed by the guild leader.

As a member of Mythrilmoon Mystics you are expected to be respectful and courteous to your fellow guild mates as well as members of the Seventh Hammer community. You are expected to be fair to yourself and those around you. You must also choose a character as your main and are allowed to guild whatever alts you would like. It's recommended to guild at least one alt. Ensure you post your main character on our message board.

If you have a problem with someone within the guild it should be brought up privately with that person or else with an officer. Bringing up arguments in guildspeak or on the forums is not acceptable. If asked by another guild member to tone down some of your chat on open channels, please respect that.

You are also expected to keep guild discussions within the guild. Things discussed in private forums or within guildspeak should be staying there. If you feel the need to bring up something or just air your own feelings, then you are free to send e-mail to an officer or the guild leader.

The website is a good place for communication when all our playing times can differ. Please make the attempt to visit it and the forums at least twice a week. Sometimes important changes or information is found there. Ensure you register an ezBoard account so you can post on our message boards.

General Information

I) We are a 50+ guild. Level requirement for membership consideration is 50. Exceptions will be granted by the guild leader only. All members sub-50 level are on a raid loot probationary period. Special consideration is made to members who achieve level 50 and priority of loot distribution will go to those members. This does not mean loot will rot or solely be granted to 50 plus level members but rather encourage upward movement within our guild and fair reward for performance.

II) Our guild is currently on Skyshrine and Thurgadin faction, meaning we kill Giants in Velious, not Dwarves and Dragons in Western Wastes. Our focus is Temple of Veeshan or Kunark for Dragon slaying. We will occasionally hunt Velious Dragons, but we do NOT hunt them on a regular basis. For Velious Quest Armor we hunt in Kael Drakkel and the Halls of Testing in Temple of Veeshan.

III) To apply for membership please read this charter, then ensure you group with guild members and develop a rapport. Ask to speak to a guild officer and have members speak to the officer on your behalf. The officer has the power to invite you on a probationary period at that time. The officer must ensure that the new member posts their main character on "Declare Your Main Post" under the Mythrilmoon Guild Hall section of our guild message boards as soon as access to the guild only forums on the message boards has been granted.

IV) We are for the most part NOT a 24/7 guild. While some of us may occasionally stay up late, or we may as a guild stay up late raiding occasionally, we are not always online. We all have real lives outside of the game.

V) New members enter the guild on a 5-week trial basis. They will be limited in consideration for loot earned on raids. At the end of the 5 weeks the restrictions will be lifted if it is determined that said character would stay in the guild.

VI) We are a Need before Greed based guild, and a Guild before Individual need guild. Our officers will award loot and keep track of loots awarded on raids. A guild bank is open for high level spells and some medium to high-end gear. Rules for use of the guild bank are outlined in the 'The Vault' section of the guild forums.

A. Loot

The following section outlines the loot distribution process at guild raid functions. These rules only apply to a guild raid, which is defined as any gathering of two or more groups of Mythrilmoon Members. In guild group outings or settings in which there is complete consent by all parties involved, these rules are strictly optional, though Mythrilmoon Mystics experience groups usually operate on a Need Before Greed basis.

  1. Mythrilmoon Mystics active officers will determine loot on a case by case basis on all guild raids and functions.
  2. An elected official, the Senior Loot Advisor, will lead discussion and distribution of raid and bank items and will hold ultimate authority over the distribution process.
  3. Gliffik is the current Senior Loot Advisor.
  4. Loot decision will be made on the basis of several factors, such as current equipment, past contribution made by interested parties to further the cause of the guild, how much of an improvement it is over current equipment, and level of interested party.
  5. If you do not plan on using an item that drops (i.e. if you want to sell it or twink with it) then do not roll. The guild does not run raids to make individuals in the guild money; rather it is in an effort to improve the guild.
  6. Loot decisions will be made privately. Typically a vote will be held and merits of each choice discussed to make a decision.
  7. In the case of a split vote or indecision the guildleader will make a final choice.
  8. If no course of action can be decided on site for a droppable item, it will be held by a officer until a recipient has been chosen.
  9. In the event that no recipient can be found within two weeks of a drop, that item is placed within the Guild Bank.

B. Guild Bank

The guild bank is maintained by Gembadar and officers and contains items of some value and use to guild members. Distribution of bank items is overseen by the Senior Loot Advisor (currently Gliffik)

  1. After being in the bank for 2 months, items will be sold to fund future raids.
  2. To withdraw an item, make a request via the guild message board, 'The Vault'. Requests made outside of 'The Vault' will not be honored.
  3. Items loaned from the guild bank are still considered guild property and so are not to be sold. They are not provided to put plat into peoples' pockets.
  4. Donation of usable gear is highly encouraged. Donation of very low level gear or gear that is all but useless is discouraged, as it will likely be sold or destroyed in two months and in the meantime will be taking up valuable bank space.
  5. Individual bank listings are held for items, quest gems (for Velious class quest armors), and spells.
  6. All decisions regarding loot distribution from the bank will be subject to the discretion of officers and the guild leader.

VII) Our charter is an ever-changing document that outlines the expectations of our members and what our members can expect from the guild. Changes to the charter will be posted on Gather Around the Fire one week prior to the changes being posted on the charter and they become effective.

VIII) All members are expected to review the boards twice a week. All members must read the charter before joining and becoming active in the guild. Anyone who does not, for any reason, have access to the website on a regular basis must email Gembadar or Noremac and state that they have difficulty accessing the website. Noremac will maintain a listserve with the sole purpose of disseminating mandatory information, and planned raids. The only replies on this listserve will be to sign up for a posted raid, or to post on a mandatory section. This listserve will not take away from the website as it will augment our communication so that everyone may receive important information on a regular basis.

IX) The guild leader appoints officers based on loyalty, commitment, knowledge of the game, respect from peers, and then by his own gut instinct of the individuals leadership potential. Our guild will maintain no more than 15 officers to conduct business. The guild leader has the responisbility to ensure officers are doing their part in the developement of the guild and will demote an officer at his own will if he feels that the officer needs to be replaced. There is no application process for replacing officers although the guild leader will confer with current officers for nominations.

X) Each class will be appointed a class leader who has a number of specific duties regarding his/her class and members of that class within the guild. This class leader will moderate their class' forum on the guild message boards, address needs or concerns of their class within the guild, and report to guild officers. The cleric class leader for instance would ensure that all clerics are amply stocked with peridots, and would handle needs or requests for high level spells useful on raids.

XI) Our guild encourages but does not demand that you cross-level your gear. Cross-leveling is the process of willingly passing your unused gear to a fellow guildmate that will make use of it. This does not apply to loot won on guild raids. Guild raid loot belongs to the guild and the Loot Committee will cross-level it through that process. We want our entire family to be strong and this method allows us to strengthen weak links through our individual consideration for each other.

General Rules

The breaking of any of these rules is grounds for expulsion from the guild. All instances will be investigated and reviewed. Offendors will be placed on probation by the investigating officer for four weeks. If the offendor breaks their probation by violating additional rules then the guild leader will remove the offendor from the guild.

I) No Begging

Do not ask for coin or items save in return for services of equal value. Asking for a donation for a teleport is fine; asking for a donation to buy new spells is not. When asking for help to camp an item, do not pester people. This is a form of harassment. Don't ask someone to camp something for you that are way out of your league.

Ex: A level 10 warrior begging someone to camp the FBSS for them.....constantly.

II) No Kill Stealing (KSing)

If someone has started to attack something in an area you are not currently (meaning you were there before this person) camping, do not interfere unless asked for help. If you enter an area that is obviously camped, do not kill anything in that area, unless you obtain permission or you are asked for help. If there are multiple spawns in an area being camped by the same group or person, you may politely contest one or more of those spawns (your group's total spawns taken not to exceed the number of spawns remaining to the original campers) as specified in the play nice policies; do NOT make a jerk of yourself by pushing the play nice policy.

III) No Stealing (Ninja Looting)

Loot rules are to be outlined by the group or raid leader; raid leader's rules take precedence. Do not loot anything unless directed by your group or raid leader. If no rules have been established, then you should propose some. If an item is no drop, always announce this and determine who will get it before it is looted.

IV) No Whining

Whining can be considered a form of begging. If you want help getting something, then ask nicely. If you are in need of a raid-target item then host a raid. The Raid Ideas Forum in our message boards is for members to request raids. Whining in guildspeak is not fun for anyone and is usually very annoying. Don't do it.

V) No Cursing

Many find this offensive. The occasional curse word isn't bad, but a foul mouth is uncalled for. If you feel the need to curse at someone take it to tells. That is something that others don't need or want to hear. Also, keep in mind there are children that play this game.

VI) Don't Be Greedy

This could be listed under KS'ing and Ninja Looting, but it is listed separate, since there are other forms of greed. This game was not created for YOU alone. There are many others that play and they have a right to loot just as much as you do, so be nice and share.
